Some drawings from when I was around seventeen.   My weird sense of humor was already in full swing.
An Indian herb lady in North Carolina was the inspiration for this.  My cousins Dale and Glenn were fond of the term "maimity" and they watched as I drew this one.
A self-portrait of me trying to record something amid constant interruption (the story of my life!)
A quick sketch of my cousin Glenn, probably threatening his older brother Dale for teasing him again.
And finally, an actual picture of me from around that same age.  Soon after this photo was taken, I took the Polaroid snapshot to a local photo shop and had them make an 8x10 transparency.  Then I cut out pieces of construction paper in semi-psychedelic colors to glue behind the transparency and replace the original colors.
